Picture by Craig SimPOLICE in Shetland are still looking for video footage of a pod of killer whales seen off the islands’ east coast last Friday.

Two boats were seen up close to the whales in Lerwick harbour and later off Sandwick, and the police would like to interview the people in the boats who may be guilty of harassing wildlife.

Picture by Craig SimSeveral onlookers at both locations were observed videoing the whales and the police are keen to have a look at any footage which might reveal the identity of those in the boats at the time.

Anyone with any information on this matter has been asked to contact wildlife liaison officer Robert Veighey through Lerwick Police Station on 01595 692110.
