SHETLAND'S marine rescue services were called out yesterday morning (Sunday) to
come to the aid of a Norwegian yacht just to the north east of Sumburgh Head.
The call came in at 1.10am that the Felicitas was suffering engine
problems, saying the skipper was unsure of their position but could see the
shore.
The vessel let off a red flare to mark their bearing and the coastguard
helicopter went to the scene to stay with the yacht until the Lerwick lifeboat
arrived and towed her safely into Lerwick harbour at about 8am.
