SEAFOOD businesses in Shetland could benefit from a £75,000 International Trade
Support Fund organised by the Sea Fish Industry Authority.
Seafish said the fund was now open for competitive bids from companies engaged
in the export and import of seafood. The fund also supports seafood market
research.
Individual companies are able to apply for a maximum of £3,000 per project,
whilst regional seafood groups and national trade bodies are eligible to bid for
up to £30,000.
Seafish chief executive John Rutherford said: "The International Trade Support
Fund aims to recognise and reward companies who are dedicated to good
operational and environmental practices."
The closing date for all International Trade Support Fund applications is
Thursday 29 May.
