A NEW seafood website with information for buyers, retailers, consumers and journalists is to be launched by first minister Alex Salmond at the European Seafood Exposition, in Brussels, next week.

The website has been developed by Seafood Scotland (SFS) with financial assistance from the Scottish Government.

It aims to provide everyone in the seafood supply chain with up to date information on the most important commercial fish stocks for the Scottish fishing industry. Information is available in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Russian.

The website will be launched on Wednesday 23 April.
