31 August 2007 LERWICK lifeboat was called out last night to assist a small boat that had broken down off Cunningsburgh. A total of four vessels responded to the call for help from the eight metre Melvin, which had two people on board. Shetland Coastguard was alerted to the incident at around 9.10pm. The fishing vessels Sapphire and Venture were the first at the scene with the fisheries protection vessel Vigilant also responding to the alert.
